Momiji Tsukada first came to the label in 2019 with her ‘Sapporo EP’, in collaboration with her friend Spencer Brown. In the years that followed, Qrion built a name for herself with her solo productions, ultimately releasing her debut album ‘I Hope It Lasts Forever’ on Anjunadeep in 2021, to the delight of Anjuna fans and publications like Forbes, who dubbed it a “stunning” and “masterful production”.
Since then, she has appeared at numerous flagship label shows, released remixes for CRi and Steven Weston on Anjunadeep as well as industry leading lights Röyksopp and Booka Shade. A real producer's producer, she has connections across the electronic scene, and firm friends in fellow label stars HANA and Nicky Elisabeth.
While her personal life was in a dark place before, Momi is now feeling optimistic and her productions reflect that.
The first single from her upcoming album, ‘Hush my Heart’ (feat. Josie Man) sees Qrion, in her own words “overcome the past and slowly rise above it”. She hopes that both this single, and the album will “lift you up”. While "it might sound
cheesy", Momi hopes that this single and the album will share a lesson she learned herself; "[that] we can become better people if we try”.
