Hi There,
Adam here from Transparent Labs.
We're halfway through 2026.
Let me say that again: we're halfway through 2026.
January feels like it was just a few weeks ago, and yet here we are, six months in, with six months still ahead.
I've been thinking about what this moment actually means depending on where you're at right now.
If the year hasn't gone the way you planned: awesome.
I want you to hear this clearly: you have the same amount of time left that you've already used. The first half doesn't determine the second and a LOT can change in 6 months.
Habits get built.
Weight gets lost.
PRs get hit.
Relationships improve.
Businesses grow.
None of that requires a January 1st to begin.
If you're getting trapped in the cycle of "I really wanted to do X by X date," I want you to get that out of your head. Nick Saban (famous Alabama football coach) has an amazing quote about outcomes that I think you should hear: "Outcomes are a distraction. Focusing on the process, of which you have to do to get the outcome, is the most important thing you need to do."
Forget the "goal" itself and shift your attention to the little things you can do TODAY to get you there. Ask yourself "what can I do in this moment to help get me to where I need to go?"
Would it have been better to start January 1st? Probably!
Is there ANYTHING you can do about that today? Absolutely not.
Focus on what you can control now. You can do this!
NOW, if things have been going well and you've smashed your New Years resolutions: awesome.
This is the moment to ask a different question: not just "how do I maintain this?" but "what becomes possible if I keep going?"
I've said it before but momentum is wildly underrated; it compounds much the same as consistency does. Many of the people who finish the year strong use that positive first half of the year as a foundation rather than a finish line. Keep it up!
Either way, today is an amazing place to start from. Not on Monday, not next month, not when things "settle down."
You (still/only, whatever way you look at it) have six months! I'm proud of you.
Yours in transparency,
Adam

PS: Do you have a goal you're trying to accomplish before the end of the year? How's it going so far? Hit reply and let me know! I want to help you get there.
