About 1.7 billion people live in places with limited access to the water communities need to survive and thrive. And climate change is accelerating the water crisis.

But EDF is never deterred. We’re determined to continue working with communities in water-stressed regions around the world to help manage water supplies, from rivers to groundwater.

In honor of the International Day of Action for Rivers this Saturday, March 14, please donate to support this critical work and ensure communities around the world have access to clean water.

Protect clean water

Your gift makes a difference for the health of our communities.

Donate $25

Your generous gift will go to work making more progress like this possible:

arrow bullet EDF and our partners developed the Water Leadership Institute, a bilingual networking program for community leaders from the U.S., Mexico, Tohono O’odham, and Pascua Yaqui nations to learn about water security issues along the Santa Cruz River, which traverses through the two countries and native nations.

arrow bullet EDF and local partners supported the historic establishment of groundwater protections in Western Arizona that require major water users to monitor and conserve groundwater — a critical resource as the increasingly strained Colorado River is shared between seven states.

arrow bullet This past November, EDF partnered with local voices in Texas to rally voters around a $20 billion fund to support safe, clean water, from patching leaky pipes to protecting water supplies from drought and shrinking river flows.

Turning challenges into real-world results is where EDF shines, but we can only do it with your support. Please donate what you can today and know you’re making a lasting, positive difference for our water and communities.

Thanks for helping build innovative solutions to our world’s biggest environmental problems.
