I was traveling internationally recently, so as you can imagine, there were long travel days, new environments, weather changes, and very different eating habits.
My skin actually did pretty well during the trip once I started doing my routine again, because yes, I forgot for the first 3 days. Oops.
But, as I expected, about a week after I got back, my skin started to show it more.
I get these little red, dry-looking patches on and around my eyebrows that kind of mimic eczema, but I have not gotten them diagnosed, so I do not really know what they are.
They are a newer thing that started appearing off and on within the last few years, but usually after traveling or if I neglect my skin and skin care routine for a period of time.
I truly think it is just my skin yelling at me that it needs more support.
I was doing my usual routine: Aloe Herb Cleanser, Botanical Hydration Mist with Immortelle, Activated Hemp Serum boosted with the Brighten Elixir, and Anti-Aging Facial Oil. But I knew my skin needed a little something extra.
So, I pulled out my handy dandy Coconut Honey Mask, which always helps those areas look and feel better. They honestly may just be dry spots, because that is what they feel like.
But I use it to spot treat, so I will put it over those areas and anywhere else that feels really dry, and I leave it on for a few hours or sometimes even overnight.
Almost always, my skin looks so much more calm, soft, and supported by the next day.
Honey is stunning for a lot of reasons, and skin care is definitely one of them.
It is naturally rich and comforting, and it has been used in skin care for a very long time because of the way it helps leave the skin feeling soft, supple, and replenished. Honey is also a natural humectant, which means it helps draw moisture to the skin. And when your skin is feeling dry, tight, or a little thrown off, that kind of moisture support can make such a difference.
That is why this mask is so incredible as a full face mask, of course, but also as a spot treatment when my skin is feeling extra dry or stubborn in certain areas.
It is your skin’s best companion for those moments when it just needs a little extra comfort and support.
Then I started thinking about it more, and outside of all the traveling, my skin is also getting used to a new season. I am outside way more, spending more time in the sun, and jumping in and out of bodies of water — some lakes, some rivers, and sometimes the ocean.
So really, my skin was already dealing with all of that, and then I added international travel on top of it.
I was really excited to tell you about this because I know how important these supportive products can be to have in your cabinet.
It is easy to write off a face mask as unnecessary.
But this is proof that they are definitely worth having, and sometimes for reasons outside of just using them as a traditional mask.
Trust me, I use it as a mask too. All the time, actually.
But the Coconut Honey Mask has also become my little trusty sidekick.
I always have one in my cabinet, and if you do not have a trusty skin care sidekick, or if you do and need to restock, now is the time.
