Ava was found frightened, injured and struggling to survive. Deep lacerations marked her head and neck, and trauma to her face left her with painful fractures. On top of these critical injuries, Ava was battling a life-threatening case of parvovirus.
“When Ava arrived, she was only six weeks old — and she had already endured so much trauma,” remembers Dr. C., one of the veterinarians who cared for Ava. “She was very clearly in pain, especially when her face was touched. I can only imagine what it feels like to have multiple bones in your face broken.”
Ava was suffering greatly. It hurts to think what her fate may have been, had she not received the urgent care and support from our staff — and you. |
