Jannik Sinner earned membership of an exclusive club by claiming his first title of the 2026 season at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
The Italian became just the third man, after Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, to triumph at all six hard-court ATP Masters 1000 events with his 7-6(6), 7-6(4) championship-match victory against Daniil Medvedev. For the second Masters 1000 in a row (after last November's Rolex Paris Masters), Sinner marched to the trophy without dropping a set.
“I knew that this was a tournament I haven't won, so I wanted to come here and prepare in the best possible way, as professionally as possible,” he reflected. “Having this achievement now means a lot to me." Sinner will next head to the Miami Open presented by Itau to try and complete the coveted ‘Sunshine Double' for the first time. |

ATP No. 1 Club member Mats Wilander was among the former stars who took part in the ATP & WTA Alumni Golf Tournament in Indian Wells.
Held annually during the BNP Paribas Open, the gathering gives former ATP players the chance to reconnect in a relaxed setting. Around 50 participants attended this year's event, swapping tennis racquets for golf clubs for a friendly morning competition. |
