Auckland FC will travel to Queensland to face the Gold Coast Knights in the Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Round of 32. This Knight-on-Knight clash will be the first time Auckland FC has played in the competition. The Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Round of 32 will be played over two weeks in July from Saturday, 19 July to Wednesday, 30 July. It’s anticipated that venues, dates and timings for the Round of 32 will be made available by Monday, 30 June, as Football Australia works with participating clubs and Member Federations to navigate existing match schedules and ground availability.
The Gold Coast Knights currently sit third in the NPL Queensland table. The team plays its home games at the Gold Coast Croatia Sports Centre. |
The club based in the suburb of Carrara, just 15 minutes from Surfers Paradise. A crowd of around 2,500 is anticipated, no doubt boosted by Kiwis living locally or those keen to head over the Tasman for some winter sun. Ticket information will be released by the Gold Coast Knights shortly. |

We're thrilled to welcome two exciting 17-year-old talents to the Auckland FC Reserves squad: defender Evan Masamba, previously with Auckland United and Onehunga Sports, and goalkeeper Liam Hill, from Fencibles United. Catch them both in action this Saturday, 5:30pm as Auckland FC Reserves take on East Coast Bays at Bay City Park.
As Director of Football Terry McFlynn recently told the A-Leagues, our Reserves and Talent Development Centre are key to building Auckland FC’s future.
Auckland FC chose not to run a full academy down to U-13s to avoid weakening local clubs. Instead, they’ve partnered with 18 Talent Development Programme (TDP) clubs across Auckland, Northland and WAIBOP, supporting them with coaching resources, analysis, education, nutrition, and strength & conditioning.
The goal is to elevate youth development across the region without centralising talent into a single team and diluting local competition. |
