Dear Friend,

Much like Charlie stepping through the gates of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, we strive to help every pup feel like they've found a golden ticket when they arrive at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Starting from the moment a dog arrives, they get the individualized attention and support they need to make them feel safe, seen, and loved. And while we can’t promise them everlasting gobstoppers or rivers of endless treats, we can offer them compassion and care on their journey to families of their own.

In our newest video, you’ll meet the staff and volunteers making the magic happen for each new arrival. From snapping photos and writing bios to creating care plans and getting to know each dog’s unique personality, learn how the team sets the pups up for success.

The Sanctuary is where a newcomer gets extra encouragement, where playful pups discover their favorite games, and where veterinary, behavioral, and caregiving teams work together to help each dog thrive and land a loving home as quickly as possible. Some dogs head straight to new homes while others move into Dogtown housing to receive specialized support. But no matter where their journey leads, each new beginning starts here.

Friend, because of compassionate supporters like you, so many dogs' lives are filled with comfort, love, and hope. Thank you for making the Sanctuary the extraordinary place it is.
