Hi Email,
We think that boredom has a bad reputation.
It’s usually pitched as something undesirable – a thing to be avoided at all costs. Like sitting in an airport for hours or restless drives through unchanging countryside.
But there are places where boredom becomes miraculous – activating something inside of us that we didn’t know was there.
This is exactly what co-founder Tom explores in his latest column for Coveteur, picking out destinations like Chile’s Atacama Desert, Namibia, and Ladakh as pinnacles of mind-expanding boredom. They’re the kind of places where time and consciousness have a way of dilating – bringing with them "something closer to wonder", as Tom puts it. Happily, we've been sketching out some very different ways to show them to you.
On a practical note, we want to remind you that December is looming closer (which is a scary thought), so you'll want to start thinking about your winter trips sooner than later – ensuring that you get the trip you've been dreaming of. We also have some very intriguing pockets of fall availability.
All you need to do is ask.
Boringly,
Black Tomato
