Five Blues players have been selected in the All Blacks’ 34-man squad for the upcoming Nations Championship Southern Series, with Anton Segner earning his first call-up.
The squad, announced by head coach Dave Rennie, will assemble in Auckland before opening the series against France in Christchurch on 4 July, followed by Tests against Italy in Wellington and Ireland in Auckland.
Blues captain Patrick Tuipulotu returns for his 57th Test, joined by forwards Sam Darry and Segner. In the backs, Beauden Barrett and Caleb Clarke have also been named. Segner’s selection is a notable milestone after a strong Super Rugby Pacific season, while Darry continues his progression following last year’s debut.
