For this edition we've worked with our friends at Bikmo cycle insurance to provide you with three tips to best secure your bike. Plus we go for a ride with Josh from Bikmo and his Dad, celebrating the joy to be found in riding together (in the sun, in this case).

Scroll down for more on the success of our Limitless programme, the latest race reports and how you can recognise a local volunteer.

Top tips for locking your bike

Having your bike pinched while you've left it locked up feels pretty unfair. But the key to getting compensated is having a combination of high quality insurance, a lock that's rated Sold Secure Gold or Diamond, and using your lock correctly.

Bikmo's quick tips

Meet Josh

Josh is a rider, gravel racer, British Cycling member and part of the Bikmo team. In our next edition of Meet the Member, ride along with Josh and his Dad on a stunning route on the Wirral.

Limitless hits four-year target - in half the time!

This week we announced that our inclusive cycling programme, Limitless, has helped 5,551 disabled people to get cycling, with most participants reporting improvements in their mental and physical health and sense of purpose

Just over two years in, the programme has exceeded its initial four-year target, making cycling more accessible to thousands of disabled people. Take a moment to watch our video, showcasing the participants, volunteers and clubs behind Limitless.

If you know someone who gives up their time to support others to ride, why not surprise them with a nomination for our National Volunteer Awards?

These awards celebrate and recognise outstanding contributions and achievements within our cycling community. Hear what it meant to last year's winners to be recognised, in this Instagram post.

Congratulations on 2,300 children trained!

We were really happy to sponsor Bikeability's Small Organisation of the Year Award, which went to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Road Safety Team.

The group of eight part-time instructors trained over 2,300 children in Bikeability Levels 1–3 and Learn to Ride last year alone. Inclusivity is central to their work, reaching SEND learners, refugee groups, and home-educated pupils.

Phew! Hope you paused for a breath.

On Tuesday next week it's the Fort Vale Colne Grand Prix, followed by the Dawlish Grand Prix on Friday. The weekend will see the Cycle Speedway Cup take place in Hull, Round 6 of the grass track series in Heckington and the National BMX Freestyle Championships.

The poll: Results

When the weather is great, it can feel a little harder to juggle multiple activities. We asked about your riding levels now in comparison to the winter and spring - and it's great to see that most of you still find plenty of time for the bike.

This week

It's not a question we really want to ask, but given the focus on locks, insurance and theft, today's poll question is: have you ever had a bike stolen?

Yes, gutted!

Thankfully, no
