Yesterday was International Day of Persons with Disabilities: a 32-year old awareness initiative promoted by the United Nations to support the rights and wellbeing of people with disabilities.
In the UK 18% of people who ride a bike have a disability, compared to 24% of the population. That shows us there is work to be done to make cycling a more equitable sport, activity and way to travel. Have a read below around ways you can ride, volunteer and support. |

Limitless is a thriving network of riders, volunteers, clubs, events and facilities. With activity covering first access through to elite competition, there are opportunities for everyone. We encourage you to explore what's available nearby, with a list of clubs available below.
Over 6,000 people have engaged with Limitless and the programme has received international recognition from the UCI. All of this wouldn't have been possible without the support of Shell UK, and we are so grateful for their passionate involvement in bringing our beliefs to life. |

We wanted to showcase Limitless by sharing the story of Cornwall Bicycle Project: a group offering classes, group and individual rides, and community events across the county.
More than 250 disabled people have experienced the joy of cycling since joining the programme in just over two years. Thanks to their fleet of adaptive cycles, any rider of any ability is able to join the weekly sessions, with local SEND schools and disability community groups in regular attendance. |

The support for Limitless has been incredible, with so many brilliant organisations along for the ride. This year we've announced Forestry England, Access Sport and Wheels for All as partners, while many other groups and charities have become involved. These include ICE Trikes, LimbPower, Active in the Community and WheelPower.
Interested in getting involved? Volunteering is a brilliant way to ensure that opportunities are available where they are needed most. Check out our courses if you might be interested in coaching or leading rides, plus we encourage you to reach out to your closest Limitless club - or the organisations named above. |

Our goal is to win world and Paralympic medals across all disciplines: inspiring, identifying and supporting riders to reach their potential and fulfil competitive aims. To do so we have a three-stage pathway riders can apply to.

Last week we launched a bold and transformative competition structure, designed to bring a simpler, more fun and effective offering by 2029, that is standardised across all disciplines.
The new approach is a result of months of consultation with riders, clubs, volunteers, fans and the wider cycling community. If you enter or organise events, volunteer - or are simply interested in having fun on your bike, be sure to give this one a read. |
