Given the response to our announcement last year that the 2027 Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift Grand Départs would take place in the UK, we thought it made sense to start with details of the (very) freshly announced routes and start/finish locations!
Once you've had a chance to explore where the races will be headed, keep reading to hear more about potholes and road safety, watch the Lloyds National Cyclo-cross Championships coverage - and more. |

Coming to a road near you |
The 2027 Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes Grand Départs will be the largest free sporting spectacle in British history! And tonight the countdown gets even more exciting with the full route revealed for the three men's stages, while start and finish locations have been announced for the women's race.
From the castles of Edinburgh, Cardiff, and Powis, to the Moot Hall in Keswick, across the iconic Liverpool waterfront and the London skyline, coordinated yellow beams are reaching into the sky to celebrate each region’s role in welcoming the races, while uniting the UK in one national moment of anticipation.

From pro peloton to potholes |
Whether you're racing on the highway, out for a spin or moving from A to B, potholes affect most of us. And of course, we aren't immune if driving. It's National Pothole Day today, and we were up early to be part of the BBC Breakfast coverage. You can watch again here (from 45 minutes into the programme).
Read about the action we are calling for, as part of the Pothole Partnership, with a focus on councils spending more wisely and fixing for the future (in place of temporary 'patch and run' work). |

| Last week the government released a Road Safety Strategy, which we have reviewed together with our legal partners, Leigh Day. Sally Moore, partner from the personal injury team supporting British Cycling members, said of the report:
“Through our work for British Cycling members, we see daily the personal cost of bad driving and poor road conditions and the impact this has on victims and families. Our experience representing collision victims shows these incidents often stem from poor driving behaviour and disregard for the Highway Code.
"Public awareness of the 2022 amendments designed to protect vulnerable road users, which include cyclists, remains low and could be improved immediately through a widespread public awareness campaign. Stronger enforcement, refresher courses for repeat offenders, and action against illegal motorists - such as those driving while disqualified, uninsured or with false plates - must be prioritised to reduce untraced collisions and protect all road users."
Together with our partners we are campaigning for better representation and greater visibility of riders among key policy makers. Your membership reinforces the collective voice of those who choose to travel by bike. |

On Friday we launched an update to the membership login and account area of the website, meaning things will look a little different when you log in, or explore membership. It's a good different! Our aim is to put you in control of your account, while providing a much better experience for the future. |

At the weekend the country's best cyclo-cross riders landed in South Shields for the Lloyds National Cyclo-cross Championships, to challenge themselves against the slippery course and freezing conditions.
You can watch highlights from the Women's and Open race, plus settle down and enjoy our post-race analysis and interviews. Or jump to the report on our website. |

Get along to a live event |
Let's face it, the 2027 Tour de France is still a little way off. If you fancy witnessing the speed, drama and breathlessness of live racing, check out tickets for the Lloyds National Track Championships - starting at just £11 (or £8.50 for kids).
The countdown is on, with five weeks to go until riders, race-makers and spectators will all get together at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester for four days of electric racing. |
