Earth Month tends to bring out the kind of marketing we try to avoid. Big claims, soft proof, a lot of green typography. So instead of telling you what we believe, we wanted to tell you what we've actually done.

Most of that work happens quietly at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where our roaster does the heavy lifting. We roast on a Loring Peregrine, a single-flame machine that cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared to a conventional drum roaster. It's the kind of equipment decision that makes a difference for every cup, forever.

This spring's Collector's Edition is Gaia, a flowery, dark-chocolate-backboned blend built for moka pots and slow Sunday mornings. The tin is reusable. The coffee is sourced from farms we've worked with for years in Peru, Brazil, and Ethiopia. For every tin sold, we donate a dollar to 350.org, one of the most effective climate organizations in the world. It's a small amount per tin. It adds up.

We're not going to tell you that one cup of coffee is going to fix the climate. What we will say is that the work of getting there is made up of a thousand small decisions made well, by farmers, roasters, and the people who drink the coffee.
