Created by Antonio Carluccio himself in the early 2000s at our Ealing restaurant, this vegetarian pasta was born from a simple request for more meat-free options for guests to enjoy. 

Using ingredients he had to hand that evening, originally made for a function, Antonio created a dish that quickly became one of Carluccio's most-loved recipes.
Today, Penne Giardiniera remains our signature dish and bestselling pasta. But there's another reason this dish is so special.
Every time you order Penne Giardiniera, 50p is donated to The Antonio Carluccio Foundation, helping to support hospitality education and emergency feeding programmes in both the UK and Italy, Antonio's homeland.
What began as a fundraising initiative for Action Against Hunger has grown into a lasting legacy. Together we've helped raise significant funds over the years, including reaching the remarkable milestone of £1 million raised to date.
