A newsletter intended to provide researchers with the latest information about funding opportunities and research news from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Announcement

  • Action Required: Final Reporting Deadline for Legacy Awards
  • As part of a grants closeout initiative, the CFF Grants and Contracts Management Administration (GCMA) is reviewing all awards with overdue final reporting requirements.
  • If you have a (legacy) award that remains open, we ask that you log into CFF’s grants management system (GMS) at www.awards.cff.org and verify the status of any outstanding deliverables.
  • To ensure compliance with CFF Terms & Conditions and to avoid administrative closeout or potential de-obligation of remaining funds, all overdue final reports must be submitted no later than August 15th. If you need assistance, please reach out to your designated CFF Award contact listed in the GMS or via the CFF Grants Assistance Request Form. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

Newly Published RFAs

  • The 2025 Path to a Cure (PTAC) Collaborative grant application is accepting proposals for multi-PI research projects focused on advancing technologies and understanding for the development of genetic therapies. Research programs must be composed of between two and four independent investigators with interrelated research projects that synergize to address critical needs for the development or use of genetic therapies in CF. Research projects will run for three years and up to $1,000,000 in direct costs may be requested yearly. Indirect costs are allowed.  Applications are due by November 20, 2025 and will be reviewed for funding in spring 2026. Those interested must contact CFF program staff prior to application.

Upcoming Deadlines

  • The Program for Adult Care Excellence (PACE) RFA. The CF Foundation will recruit another cohort of caregivers to the Program for Adult Care Excellence (PACE) in order to expand the scope of adult care programs by increasing the number of adult caregivers.  Accordingly, CFF has released this Request for Applications (RFA) for PACE training awards to physicians interested in developing expertise in the care of adult patients with CF. This is a rolling program accepting applications through October 1, 2025. For questions, please contact Whitney Brown ([email protected]).
