Dear Friend,
Seven-year-old Wilishon lives in a rural sugarcane community in the Dominican Republic, where his father works in the fields, and his mother cares for the family. Wilishon was struggling. A painful scalp infection kept him from school, his friends, and the simple joys of childhood. His family—like many in the area—had no means to afford treatment.
But hope arrived in the form of a donated medicine.
Thanks to a local clinic and a timely donation from MAP International, Wilishon received the medicine he needed. The infection was treated, and he returned to school.
“He has regained the freedom to attend school and be a kid again, without any anxiety and trepidation, and the family is truly grateful,” a clinic representative shared.
