Hi there, One year ago this week, Better for Butchery became the steward of Porter Road. When I wrote my first letter, I promised three things: we would lead with transparency, stay true to the mission Chris and James created, and do the hard work required to rebuild Porter Road the right way. Trust wouldn’t be earned through words. It would be earned one order, one customer, and one day at a time. Today, we’re celebrating our first birthday. We’re still early in the journey, but I’m incredibly proud of what this team has accomplished. We’ve rebuilt the business from the ground up, invested in our own USDA processing facility, strengthened our leadership team, welcomed new farm partners, and continued investing in the quality that made Porter Road special in the first place. Most importantly, we’re building a business designed to be here for the long haul. The people in the photo below are the reason that’s possible. |
