Don’t Miss Step Into History Saturdays!
Each game day Saturday the Hall of Fame helps visitors “step into history” through a series of player appearances, book signings, and unique artifact experiences. On Saturday, July 4, Hall of Fame visitors can meet author James L. Farmer, Sr., who will be on hand to sign copies of the latest installment of his Cincinnati Sports Chronicle book series. And to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday, the July 4 “Hands on History” artifact experience will feature game used artifacts from 1976, the year in which America celebrated its bicentennial and the Big Red Machine won its second of back-to-back World Series titles.

Crosley Field Dedication
Crosley Field Historical Marker Dedication
On June 24, 56 years to the day that the Reds played at Crosley Field for the last time, an Ohio Historical Marker was installed at the site of the venerable ballpark. The Reds’ home from 1912-1970, the marker is the latest addition to the many elements located on the site that pay tribute to the park that witnessed an extraordinary amount of Reds history over its many years of service. The Reds Hall of Fame partnered with City Gospel Mission, one of the primary occupants of the Crosley site on the creation and installation of the marker. Located at the corner of Findlay St. and Western Ave. in Cincinnati’s West End, City Gospel Mission offers visitors complimentary brochures that guide visitors on a walking tour of the site, highlighting each of the enhancements made to the site that collectively serve to keep the memory of Crosley Field alive.
