The 2026 MLB Draft presented by Nippon Express was completed over two days this weekend, with the Reds joining clubs around the league to add many new talented prospects to their minor league ranks.
The Reds selected University of Alabama shortstop Justin Lebron with their first-round pick (18th overall) on Saturday, starting a trend of college selections with their first five choices. Overall, 17 of the team’s 20 picks in this year’s draft came from the collegiate ranks.
