Peterson, a 21-year-old out of the University of Florida, made 16 starts in 2026, going 3-6 with a 4.59 ERA (43ER, 84.1IP), 1.42 WHIP and a .258 batting average against. The right-hander racked up 111 strikeouts against just 36 walks, ranking 7th overall in the SEC in punchouts and 25th nationally. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound righty served as a member of the Gators weekend rotation for all three seasons in Gainesville, going 14-16 with a 5.03 ERA (121ER/216.2IP) over 50 collegiate games/47 starts. Peterson boasted an 11.8 SO/9 over three seasons at Florda, racking up 284 strikeouts over 216.2 innings of work. MLB Pipeline’s No. 19 prospect racked up a multitude of awards as a Gator, being named 2026 First Team Preseason All-American (Baseball America & Perfect Game), 2026 First Team Preseason All-SEC, 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team and 2024 SEC Freshman of the Week (May 20). Schmidt is a 6-4, 210-pound left-handed pitcher out of Ganesha High School (CA). The 17-year-old is a Louisiana State commit that reclassified to the 2026 class, finishing high school early. Ranked as MLB Pipeline’s No. 45 prospect, Schmidt was homeschooled until his senior year in 2026, allowing just one earned run with 103 strikeouts. Broussard is a 6-0 foot, 190-pound outfielder out of the University of Houston. The Houston, TX native led the Cougars this season with a .344 batting average (56-for-163), a .433 on-base percentage and 25 stolen bases, while finishing second on the team in hits (56). In his two seasons at Houston, he posted a .315 clip (118-for-375) with 22 doubles, 10 home runs, 57 RBI, 72 runs scored and 56 stolen bases in 64 attempts. He started his collegiate career at San Jacinto College prior to transferring to Houston in 2025, where he hit .409 with a .545 slugging percentage and 17 steals across 36 games in 2024. Round 4 (#123 overall): INF KADE LEWIS
Lewis is a 6-2, 220-pound infielder out of Wake Forest University. The Sartell, MN native finished his junior season with a .354 (79-for-223) batting average, hitting 13 home runs with 58 RBI and 57 runs scored in 59 games. Across 172 games in his 3-year collegiate career, he hit .369 (242-for-656) with 34 home runs and 168 RBI with a 1.059 OPS. He began his collegiate career at Butler University where he posted a Big East-leading .377 batting average (78-for-207) with 10 home runs and 51 RBI, earning Big East Freshman of the Year honors.
