Sacred Heart of Jesus Monument in Mérida, Venezuerla
Andy,
On June 24, a pair of deadly and devastating earthquakes hit Venezuela only 39 seconds apart. Rescue efforts continue across the destruction zone, and the nation faces a long and harrowing road to recovery.
After careful assessment, CMMB has connected with partners on the ground who can make both immediate and long-term impacts in this recovery. The greatest needs are trauma and surgical supplies, hygiene kits, IV therapy products, critical-care equipment, antibiotics, and essential medicines.
We expect these needs to continue to scale significantly over the next three weeks. Despite the current focus on emergency care, the people of Venezuela will soon face shortages of everyday necessities like diapers, infant formula, and basic hygiene products.
We are already positioning aid, but we need your help. This is not just an immediate response but a long-term investment in a country desperately working to heal and rebuild.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 for our Emergency Response Fund to help cover the costs of medicine, supplies and shipping. Your gift today is urgently needed—every minute counts, and a rapid response can save lives.
