One of the most pressing needs we see time and time again is the need for food in the aftermath of a disaster.

Hunger affects a child’s ability to learn, grow and thrive, which is why it is crucial to address this basic need first and foremost when disaster strikes. Our local church partners are in the best position to respond with food. They’re already embedded in their communities and know the needs firsthand.

Today, we’re excited to share with you the opportunity to become a Compassion Responder and partner with us. You'll empower the church to ensure children and their families affected by crisis receive emergency food without delay. For $50 per month, you can provide a family of five with emergency food for an entire month!

Your gift of $50 feeds families facing crisis with emergency food packs containing basic nutrition supplies like meats, cooking oils, grains, fruits, vegetables and vitamins. You will also receive quarterly impact reports, prayer alerts when disasters strike and stories of transformation.

Following the devastating Haiti earthquake in 2010, many children, like 8-year-old Marie, were left without access to food and basic necessities. Marie lost her home and her family’s small farm in the quake. With no way to access food or water, Marie went hungry for days on end.

Right now, thousands of children just like Marie are facing hunger due to the global food crisis. Your monthly gift as a Compassion Responder will help us respond quickly to disasters and ensure that children and families have access to food and other necessary supplies in their time of need.
