Hi there,

Unless you’re already familiar with its older sibling, the Sidewinder Knife Mini is probably unlike any other knife you’d imagine. It has the enigmatic, parallel motion of the original Sidewinder, but with a functional, miniaturized charm of its own.

When we were developing the Sidewinder Mini, we discovered that making something smaller without making it worse is a bit more complicated than it seemed. The obvious thing would be to just scale it down from the original, but we decided to sort of cut out the middle instead. This truncated approach allowed us to retain the motion and the mechanism that define the Sidewinder family.

Just like the original, the Mini’s two interlocking halves move together with a kind of mechanical sympathy that just feels good every time you use it. Where it really differs, though, is the blade. To make sure it was suited for everyday cutting tasks, we opted for a shortened blade that’s somewhere between a tanto and a drop point. We also added a little keyring loop so you can take it with you anywhere.

So why am I telling you all this? Well, for one thing, I love it, and I think you might, too. The Sidewinder Mini’s available now, so have a look and see what you think. No need to take my word for it.

All the best,

Hunter Craighill
