Hello, Wednesday.

Bitcoin looks calm but a July 17 oil deadline looms as Iran shock sends crude up 5% — renewed Iran tensions are pushing oil higher and reopening the channel from gasoline prices to inflation expectations, Fed policy and Bitcoin liquidity.

Crypto’s near-term direction is being set less by headlines than by proof: proof that the Fed is turning, that ETF demand can keep absorbing risk, and that on-chain activity reflects real usage instead of reflexive speculation. That makes Wednesday’s Fed minutes unusually important for Bitcoin’s rebound from a 21-month low. BlackRock’s roughly $209 million share of a $266 million ETF inflow gave the bounce support, but the next few sessions will test whether that demand is durable. Away from Bitcoin, Base edging past Ethereum in adjusted stablecoin volume and Solana’s jump in RWA transfers suggest utility is migrating to faster rails where payments and tokenized assets are actually moving.

The global crypto market cap is $2.13 trillion, with a 24-hour volume of $74.66 billion. The price of Bitcoin is $61,557.21, and BTC market dominance is 58.1%. The price of Ethereum is $1,717.50, and ETH market dominance is 9.8%. The best-performing sector is Crowdfunding, which gained 9%. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index is currently Extreme Fear (20).

Bitcoin rally now depends on one Fed document coming Wednesday

Bitcoin’s bounce from a 21-month low rests on a single weak jobs report, and Wednesday’s Fed minutes will show whether officials share the market’s doubts.

Ethereum is losing ownership of crypto payments as Base moves $565B in stablecoins

Base’s slim lead over Ethereum in adjusted stablecoin volume points to a bigger shift in how tokenized dollars move across blockchain networks.
