We first met Dany Kamkhagi of Houston-based Mostly Chocolate last year when he sent in confections for our Advent Calendar blind tasting. His Hazelnut Comet became one of the most talked about treats of our 2025 Calendar. (It combined creamy hazelnut gianduja with popping candy for an elevated bite of nostalgia.) And now we’ve collaborated on a new, limited-edition set that brings Italian liqueurs to our Costa Esmeraldas chocolate, for a dozen velvety bonbons to enjoy before and after dinner. The Aperitivo & Digestivo Collection draws on Dany’s childhood memories and family traditions. His father, David, spent over a decade living in Italy. When he moved to the U.S., he brought Italian food culture with him, often starting family dinners with a bittersweet aperitivo and finishing them with a digestivo.
