When we speak about empowering women, it means more than aesthetics.
At DISSH, we design for women’s real lives - their ambition, their evolution, their many seasons. And motherhood is one of the most transformative seasons of all.
Becoming a mother while leading and growing a business has been one of the most challenging and clarifying experiences of my life. It reshaped how I think about purpose, time, priorities, leadership, and the kind of company we are building.
Over the years, I’ve also watched women in our team become loving mothers while still carrying the same passion, ambition, creativity that lead them to their career in the first place. But I’ve also seen how complex that transition can be - the shift in identity, the balancing of responsibility, and the quiet and relenting pressure women often feel to prove they are still as committed as before.
Like so many women, I’ve felt the tension that can exist between career and family - the responsibility to my business and team while also wanting to be present for the moments that matter most.
