Does anyone else think that this week always feels a little off?
The gifts are opened, the dishes are (mostly) done, and what’s left is a pile of laundry, leftovers, and plans we didn't complete. But also left are new memories and, for the first time in weeks, a sense of quiet and stillness.
These days between Christmas and the New Year are always strange, yet sacred in their own way. It’s the first time in weeks that many of us have finally taken a breath. It’s the space where reflection shows up without being forced. It’s where we start to ask, “How am I really?” and “What do I want more of next year?”
This is your permission to do nothing big today. Especially for those of us in a blizzard, it's the perfect day to rest. No pressure to jump into goals or word-of-the-year declarations. But it is a good time to reflect on how you are feeling and what you need. Those reflections can be the start of planning and dreaming for 2026.
At Do Good Candle Studio, we have a rough sketch of what is ahead, but we will spend this next week finalizing plans and sharing some of what is new with all of you. We are excited to share new scents, new products, new events, and new rituals with you. But today, I’m just letting this weird, wonderful week be what it is (with a pile of laundry at the foot of the bed that won't get folded today).
Thank you for being here this year. For lighting candles with us. For letting these words be a small part of your Sundays.
love & do good - Debbi
