Happy Easter, friend,
There’s something about Easter that always feels like a quiet turning point. The days are getting longer, the light is softer, and even if it’s still a little chilly outside (and almost a foot of new snow), you can feel that something is starting to shift. Just a day before our winter storm this weekend, I noticed buds on some trees and felt hopeful for the end of winter and the onset of a new season.
I’ve been noticing that same feeling in myself lately. Not a big, dramatic change, just a sense that things are beginning to open up again. I have had a little more energy, focus, and productivity. It's like I’m slowly coming out of a season of holding my breath.
That’s really the heart and intention behind our theme this month: Lightness Returns.
The changes that come with spring don't happen all at once. They also don't happen in a big, dramatic way. Those changes happen in small, quiet ways. Changes happen in moments that feel a little easier, in days that don’t feel quite as heavy, and in giving ourselves permission to let things unfold naturally and easily without trying to rush it along. Like the slow bud of tree leaves and the blossoming of flowers, we also change, grow, and evolve naturally, as time allows.
So I’ll leave you with this to sit with today: What’s blooming in your life right now?
It might be something small. Something quiet, and/or you’re just starting to notice. But make no mistake, whatever it is, it is important and requires and deserves your patience, focus, and grace.
love & do good - Debbi
