Happy Sunday, friend, 

I want to tell you what I've been working on and what's been sitting with me lately.

Many candle companies will say that they are heading into a slower time of the year and that this isn't "candle season".  I've said exactly that myself. 

But, ironically, our summer collection is the scents that I tend to love the most.  I think that's because we have been so intentional about the scents, specific moments, and memories for my favorite season of the year.  

I've been working on these six candles since just after the holidays.  New labels, new sizes, additional products, descriptions, photographs....the list goes on and on.  We have one new scent that we've poured and tested to get the feeling I wanted just right.  Not just right in the way that they smell good, though they do, but right in the way that they capture something I think you already know or have experienced. A feeling you've had before but maybe haven't been able to name.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, I realized what I was actually doing.

I was chasing lightness.

That's been our theme this month, and I don't think it's a coincidence that it led me here. We talked about noticing what's blooming. We talked about how growth doesn't disappear just because something hard covers it up for a while. And this week, I kept thinking: what does it feel like when the light actually comes back? Not the anticipation of it. The actual arrival.

It feels like a front porch on a Tuesday evening that somehow feels like Saturday.

It feels like golden hour, stretched out as long as possible..

It feels like the lake at the end of the day.  The water is still, soft light all around, and nowhere else to be.

It feels like a lemonade stand on a hot afternoon, the beach without the drive, and a summer evening that finally, quietly, gives you permission to stop.

Those are the six candles in the Do Good Summer Collection. And they'll be here this week.
