Memorial Day Weekend is around the corner. For many of us, it's the unofficial start of summer. It's one of the first weekends with no agenda, no commitments, and (with any luck) a few moments where no one needs you for anything.
What are you hoping this weekend looks like? For me, it's quiet time sitting outside, a peaceful boat ride, and a lot of baby snuggles with my newborn grandson. I'm hoping that, overall, the weekend is quiet. I look forward to a Sunday morning with nothing planned and no time schedule to follow.
When I was at the studio today, I was thinking about what candle I wanted to burn this weekend when we visit my parents. For me, it's definitely one from our summer collection. Probably Front Porch Breeze as it's my current favorite. I will also bring a triple-wick The Lake with me to burn all summer.
What do you want to light when you have nowhere to be, and you are making the shift to the summer months? I hope you are reaching for something calming and warm. This is the time of year for a candle that doesn't have to try too hard and says the pace is all yours.
