Saturday Snack: Fall Makeup, My New Favorite Shoes, a Leather Jacket that Reminds Me Of PP, etc.

Every week when I sent these I’m like OhBoYWhAtAWEEK and yeah, oh boy, what a week. I’ve really enjoyed reading all the tributes and obituaries of Giorgio Armani, and also seeing all the incredible imagery of his clothing and of him.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I’ve been repeatedly bashing my head against the wall about the RFK Vaccine bullshit and oh my god, I’ve experienced all the emotions this week—rounded out by Zoe Kravitz and Harry Styles.

Here’s what I wrote about:

• A thing about what to wear to school drop off—because school started back up for us this week!

• Then about my thoughts on Armani and what his work meant/means to me.

Other than that, I’ve been plugging away on the store—shooting imagery this week of it, and hopefully starting to take some friends and family appointments this week and….let’s see….fingers crossed….fully open the week of October 13. Stay tuned for the link to book an appointment.

THESE PERFECT SHOES

I just got these, and I thought they would take a second to break in and maybe give a blister…BUT! They are so comfortable and soft, they kind of just immediately melted to my foot. They’re so beautiful, I’m honestly just very very pleased with them! Herbert Levine, $835

A GREAT COTTON SWEATER

My mom wore this on our trip earlier this summer, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. A perfect cotton knit in a perfect fit. Sold Out NYC, $245

MY NEW FALL MAKEUP VIBE

This tinted mineral SPF, this brown mascara (which apparently will help my eyelashes grow longer), this nail polish in Earl Earl yellow, or this one in a beautiful creamy navy, or…omg nail polish in Hermes orange. Then! This new matte feathery lip color from Violette FR in a bright orangey color (En Feu). I want sixteen of these, one for my car and every bag and my office and everywhere and I want to wear this 24/7. It looks vibrant but subdued and crisp but blurry—everything it should not be at the same time but is at the same time.

NEW PAJAMAS TOO

Like I said, it’s been very hot in LA. I like wearing long pants and long sleeved pajamas every night, but it’s been too hot. I got these right before the heat wave, and they let me switch my brain into sleep mode without overheating me. They’re super soft and I love them. Stripe & Stare, $130
