Saturday Snack: a Pink Shirt, 4th Of July Capsule, Blush, a Good Sale, etc etc.Little tidbits from around the internet.I hope you had a great week! Mine was busy (in a fun way). Here’s what I was up to:
And here we are with the Saturday Snack. BLUSH - GENERALLY
I’m not a massive everyday makeup wearer, but one thing I do find myself more or less consistently putting on is a little bit of blush. Maybe this is an as you get older thing but I want that little flush of color in my cheeks back. Blush also looks good when the rest of you is a little fucked up - like your skin can be oily and shiny, your hair can be fuzzy, you can look a little rough - but then you put on blush and suddenly you’re beachy. The ones I like best right now have a little bit of orange in them - I have olive skin, so it suits me very nicely, but it also mimics the look of a sunburn that’s just turning into a tan. These are my three favorites at the moment. HORNY SUNGLASSESHorny as hell Magnum PI style sunglasses HOTTTTTTT. Warby Parker, $145 THIS DRESSIt’s Vince! Man, it’s so good. It looks like a bunch of napkins tied together - in a good way. I drove by the Vince store on Melrose today and did a double take of this in the window. Isn’t it good? Vince, $448 A LITTLE 4TH OF JULY CAPSULE1: Little fishbone earrings in 14k gold and diamonds! Sydney Evan, $445 2: What a great cap. Covered in tiny patches. Sea NY, $95 3: Perfect gingham skirt - I have a friend who has this and it is so so so good. Like a summer picnic in a skirt, but in the fall wear it with an oversized button down and a navy cashmere sweater and brown boots and bingo! Faithfull, $300 4: The end-all be-all of summer skirts. Miu Miu, $2,100 5: I got this bag a few weeks ago and I don’t have the words for how much I love it. It really DOES SOMETHING for an outfit, and again, I think it’s even better when it comes out of context this fall with a wool coat or corduroy pants. Loewe, $2,400 6: The perfect micro-heel in the most gorgeous shade of orange-red. This shoe is IT!!!!! The Row, $1,100 7: I love this crochet dress as a cover up for a swimsuit, or with a little satin slip underneath. Anna Kosturova, $350 8: When I worked at Glamour a million years ago, one of us wrote something about how Jennifer Aniston has worn a red string bikini for like, two decades. It might have been me, I can’t remember, but since then I’ve been convinced red bikinis are the sexiest. I’m partial to black, but I usually also do have one red string one in rotation. I love how thin the strings are on this one. Jade Swim top, $98 ; bottoms, $90 THIS DOEN TOPI wore this top in this week’s newsletter and I haven’t stopped wearing it since. I think it deserves its own moment. It’s excellent on - super light, but very IMPACTFUL. Doen, $168 THIS POLOI can’t remember if I’ve written about this already or not, but I just got this polo in pink - it’s made of reclaimed waste cotton - and it has totally influenced the way I’m getting dressed. It’s super dry, very structured, and the color is gorgeous. The perfect long-sleeve thing for cool nights in the summer. Everybody World, $78 COS IS ON SALE
And it is gooooood. Lots of trans-seasonal and very nice-looking things. Cos You’re currently a free subscriber to Earl Earl.
