A love letter to Lisbon 🦚

Lisbon immediately felt like a city that inspires creativity, with colorful tiled buildings, layered history, peacocks wandering through palace gardens, and a relaxed pace of life.

I spent a week visiting my best friend Hannah, who had been living abroad in Lisbon, Portgual. Instead of rushing through tourist sites, we spent most days wandering the neighborhoods, lingering in cafés, shopping at vintage stores, and eating our way through the city. Here’s a breakdown of places of the places we ate, sites worth seeing, and vintage shops I loved.

From cozy candlelit dinners to flaky pastries and matcha-filled mornings, Lisbon quickly became one of my favorite cities for food. Here’s a list of the meals, cafés, and little spots I’m still thinking about long after the trip ended.

Between meals, we wandered through Feira da Ladra flea market in Alfama, toured the Pantheon, explored Castelo de São Jorge, and spent way too much time shopping at places like Claude Royal Vintage, Refuse, Moskito, and tiny concept stores tucked into side streets.

Definitely check out MUDE | Feira da Ladra flea market

We also took a rainy day trip to Sintra, which felt completely cinematic in the fog. The colorful palaces, intricate tile work, murals, and misty gardens somehow felt even more magical under gray November skies.

A Bit of Sintra

What I loved most about Lisbon wasn’t necessarily one place though — it was the rhythm of the city itself. Long lunches, multiple coffee stops a day, rainy walks through tiled streets, and evenings that lasted hours longer than expected.
