Here’s a heartbreaking fact: 7 out of 10 Palestinian deaths in Gaza have been women and children, according to the UN.¹

Today, my heart is heavy thinking about the mothers in Gaza who are watching their children waste away from starvation as Israel continues to block humanitarian aid.

There are young girls living among rubble, never knowing a life free of bombs and constant terror, widows struggling to keep their families alive in an overcrowded tent, pregnant women hoping their babies survive in a health system shattered by the genocide.

Amnesty is one of the only international human rights monitors that has conducted on-the-ground research in Gaza — and we’re not going anywhere. We can’t let up until there is an end to the genocide, the unlawful occupation of the Palestinian Territory, and Israel’s apartheid system.
