We don't say this part out loud very often...
Most tableware was never designed as a set.
A brand adds a bowl one year and a mug the next, usually from different moulds and glazes.
The pieces end up almost matching, which somehow looks worse than not matching at all.
We went about it the other way round.
Before a single piece went into production, we drew the whole range together as one family.
So the proportions line up and the colours share the same base.
And because everything was made together, it stacks and sits the way it should.
It is the kind of detail you are not really meant to notice.
You feel it every time you set the table.
