Girls Who Code

Hi there,

2025 was a year of bold moves and even bigger impact. 🌟

Last year, we launched Five by Five, our five-year strategic plan to reach 5 million girls and nonbinary youth by 2030, a bold vision that we’re honored to be recognized for by Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas.

Our 2025 Annual Report shows how we’re bringing Five by Five to life by evolving our programming, elevating youth voices, and equipping even more girls, women, and nonbinary individuals with the skills they need to thrive in the tech of tomorrow.

Girls Who Code has now served 860,000 girls, women, and nonbinary individuals worldwide, including 425,000 college or career-aged alumni. More than 85,000 students engaged with our AI coursework, and new offerings like CodeJam, Pathways, and Upskill Series helped us expand how learners build skills and prepare for what’s next. In addition to expanding access to learning, we released three new research reports and produced culture-shaping campaigns that reached more than 177 million young people.

Thank you to our staff, board, students, educators, partners, and wider community for making this work possible. As we continue this work, we’re excited to forge new paths toward the future of tech, together.
