We know we’re biased, but hear us out: On the hottest days of the year, your best bet for beating the heat is a lightweight button-down, and here’s why.
We love t-shirts just as much as the next guy, but they have two primary problems when temperatures rise: their knit fabric is fundamentally temperature-insulating, and they leave your arms exposed to the sun.
Lightweight button-downs, however, have neither issue. Our lightest fabrics of the season are half the weight of a typical t-shirt. Plus, our adjustable sleeves keep those intense UV rays off your skin when needed, but can be rolled up just as easily if you do want to work on your tan.
It’s simple physics! Or is it thermodynamics? No clue, we’re just shirt-makers.
The science is above our pay grade. The shirts aren't.
Below are our lightest styles of the season.
