Hello Happi Family -

I was at a dinner last week with a Happi customer and friend. He shared with me that his pre-flight ritual is to drink a Glow before every flight. He drinks it while standing in the TSA line. It calms his nerves and settles his mind before take-off.

He then asked me - “why does Glow work so well at calming me down?”

I didn't have to think very long.

Because of The Happi Effect.

The Happi Effect has been part of our brand since the very beginning. We believed the goal wasn't to sell a beverage. It was to create a feeling.

The magic of Happi has never been one ingredient. It's always been the blend. The combination of ingredients working together to create a feeling that no single ingredient could create on its own.

So as we look ahead to what you care about and want from Happi, we want to bring you the same Happi Effect, even if the formula has to change.

We have been pitched terpenes as the magic ingredient. We have been given spices you would find in your kitchen cabinet as an alternative. Name an ingredient, we have tried it.

It would be easy to launch another beverage without THC. We're choosing the harder path: finding alternative ingredients that deliver a similar experience. Recreating a feeling is more difficult than recreating a recipe.

So after many months of benchtop testing, we have a blend that our formulator believes is finally worth trying. I am heading to Chicago within the next week to try it myself. Nothing gets the Happi stamp until I drink it. And more importantly, until I feel it.

Whatever comes next still has to feel like Happi. And if there's one thing I want you to know this month, it's this: we're not chasing ingredients. We're chasing that feeling you get standing in the TSA line with a cold Glow in your hand.
