Check Out These Special Offerings In Honor Of Verner Panton's 100th Anniversary.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Verner Panton's birth, Vitra has collaborated with Verner Panton Design AG to develop the Panton Chair Limited Edition 2026 in four special Panton colors. Created by Verner Panton in 1960, and with the assistance of Vitra technicians a version was finally ready for series production in 1967. The Panton Chair is the very first ever to be constructed from one continuous piece of material. Not until today was it possible to produce it in line with Panton's original idea, namely from consistently dyed, tough plastic with a matte surface and an affordable price.

Marking the centenary of Verner Panton's birth, an iconic piece of avant-garde Scandinavian design is being reissued for the Karakter x Cassina collection, restoring the original complexity of the design. Transparency, industrial manufacturing, and pop colors characterize this striking lounge.

The Amoebe was originally dreamed up for Panton's Visiona installation. It is a marvelous example of close-to-the-floor lounge furniture and embodies the spirit of the early 70's. Amoebe highback has a flexible backrest that curves over the head of the sitter, forming a sculptural canopy. In this way, Amoebe highback creates a sense of shelter and seclusion.

In the mid-1950's, Verner panton converted a Volkswagen bus into a mobile studio and travelled across Europe. In 1958 he returned to Denmark full of unconventional ideas... one of which evolved into the iconic Heart Cone Chair. A comfortable club chair for everyday use, Vitra has faithfully re-issued this classic in close collaboration with the Panton estate.
