Elderly Jews like Pinhas and Dalia are facing each day with pain, uncertainty, and fear. They urgently need your help.
Both of these precious people suffer from serious medical conditions, and something as simple as getting to a doctor becomes an impossible ordeal.
Pinhas, a frail Holocaust survivor, can no longer stand on his own legs. Every movement is difficult. Leaving their meager home requires strength that they just no longer have. “For us,” he says,” it is very hard to walk and go out to see a doctor.”
Still, they try.
Dalia recently made the incredible effort to get to a medical appointment, hoping at last to get the care she desperately needed. But before she could arrive, the appointment was canceled because of nearby bombings.
Thankfully, support from friends like you makes it possible for them to receive medical care from a mobile clinic. Dalia says, “When the doctor comes to our home, it makes everything much easier. It is wonderful for us to be able to receive medical care at home.”
Pinhas — who only survived the Holocaust when Christians hid him in a monastery — says, “Christians saved my life during the Holocaust, and now, again, they are helping me by making this medical care possible. I want to thank them very much for their help.”
