As part of our journey into a new era, we are pleased to share the name of our first new‑generation Jaguar vehicle: Type 01.
A four‑door Grand Tourer shaped by originality, presence and unmistakable character. Designed, developed and built in the UK. Type 01 will define the future of the brand.
The name is deliberate and meaningful.
‘Type’ connects to the most iconic cars of the Jaguar legacy: C‑type, E‑type, F‑TYPE. Cars known for beauty, performance and purpose. The ‘0’ stands for electric propulsion and zero tailpipe emissions. The ‘1’ marks the first Jaguar vehicle of a new era.
The Type 01 name appears prominently on the car itself, positioned within a distinctive strikethrough motif where the hood meets the windshield. A confident new Jaguar signature.
Modern. Distinctive. Fearless.
Ahead of its full reveal later this year, Type 01 prototypes will appear in Monaco, wearing striking camouflage during the Formula E weekend on May 15.
