I recently joined an intake trip to one of our shelter partners to see firsthand how overwhelmed they are. As the number of surrendered pets continues to climb, it reminds me of the impact of your support. We're working to find loving homes for more than 4,500 cats and dogs each year, and with your help, we can save 780 animals this holiday season.

Your support, plus the care we provide, helps dogs and cats find loving, permanent homes, but also makes sure they're able to stay once they do. Like in Boba's case.

Maybe you read about my buddy Boba Fetch earlier in the season, so I wanted to give you an update and let you know how much your support for the San Francisco SPCA means to Boba and me...

Boba's journey is a testament to the power of patience, the magic of second chances and the joy that comes when the right human and animal find each other.

He's doing really well and adores the treats I give him. I know he loves living here. In fact, he's sitting behind me snoring on his couch as I write this update.

Thanks to people like you who support the SF SPCA, Boba received everything he needed to flourish before I adopted him: behavior support, medical care, enrichment activities and daily doses of love from dedicated staff and volunteers.

Without them, Boba Fetch and I never would've had the chance to find each other. That's why I'm urging you to make your holiday gift while it will be TRIPLE matched to help the SF SPCA reach its goal of connecting 780 dogs and cats with their forever homes by the end of the month.

I don't like to think about what could have happened to Boba if he hadn't found his way to the SF SPCA. But I do know I can't imagine celebrating the holidays without him.
