I wanted to share the message below that I just sent to our 2025 holiday and year-end supporters and urge you to join them by making a compassionate gift to the San Francisco SPCA to help us kick off the New Year.

You'll help us provide the care needed to help dogs and cats find loving homes, but also make sure they're able to stay once they do. That's what sets the SF SPCA apart. Last year, I witnessed firsthand the impact friends like you are capable of making for animals.

As we expect the number of surrendered pets to continue climbing this year, will you please make a New Year's gift to help us find homes for the more than 4,500 cats and dogs we place with loving adopters annually?

We all deserve to enjoy the little things: morning walks to start the day, cozying up when it's chilly outside, a favorite treat now and then, an afternoon nap in a warm bed...Every dog and cat deserves to enjoy all these things and more and to share them with a caring family.

Whether you're a donor, adopter, foster, volunteer, animal advocate or any combination of these, we appreciate all you do for dogs and cats in our community.

Happy New Year!

Thanks to you, hundreds cats and dogs made it home during the holiday season and will spend 2026 soaking up the love of their new families.

Compassion like yours is exactly the kind that will make this year a great one because you make the San Francisco SPCA what it is – a community of people invested in the well-being of dogs and cats everywhere.

This community put its love into action over the holidays and proved once again that when we get together for animals in need, the sky's the limit! Not that I had any doubt.

All year long, I witnessed firsthand the impact friends like you are capable of making for animals – without any agenda or motivation other than your genuine love and care.

Because of you, we'll have the resources to save the lives of even more dogs and cats in the year ahead! So many animals will find loving adopters and be home for the holidays this time next year, celebrating the New Year with their new families.
