Summer Kickoff at CPKC Stadium

With three victories this May, the Current extended its regular season home win to nine, the longest streak in league history. It also extended the club's regular season home unbeaten run (19-0-3) to 22 matches, tied for the longest streak in NWSL history!

The Current closes out its Summer Kickoff slate of matches this Saturday for Pride Day, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, at CPKC Stadium against Boston Legacy FC.

International Duty

Three Kansas City Current players – midfielder Croix Bethune, forward Michelle Cooper and forward/midfielder Ally Sentnor – have been called up by the United States Women’s National Team for the upcoming FIFA international window in June. U.S. Soccer announced its roster on Wednesday for a pair of high-profile friendlies against Brazil, the host of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Several other Current players will represent their country during the June FIFA international window. Goalkeeper Lorena has been called up by Brazil and will face Bethune, Cooper, Sentnor and the United States during a pair of friendlies. Midfielder Rocky Rodríguez has been called up to represent Costa Rica, while forward Kyra Carusa has been called up by Ireland for two crucial 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers. Defender Katie Scott will represent the U.S. U-20 Women's National Team during a training camp in Spain, which will feature two friendlies against France's U-20 WNT.
