This week, we swapped our sketchbooks for paintbrushes to create window displays for West End Lane Books in Hampstead and Columbia Road Books in East London, all to celebrate the launch of Karen’s first children’s search-and-find book, A Catwalk Around the World, which is out now.
We spent two full days decorating, chatting, and soaking up the buzz of both neighbourhoods. It was such a joy to meet the wonderful booksellers and to hear the lovely reactions from passers-by as the windows came to life.
We don’t often get the chance to step away from the studio and create something so immediate, so this project felt really special. Seeing Karen’s illustrations stretch across the glass, surrounded by shelves of stories, was a reminder of how connected art, books, and imagination can be.
