Acrylic paint is made for creative freedom. It’s water-based, fast-drying, and made up of three essential ingredients: |
Pigment – This is what gives your paint its rich, vibrant color. Pigments are super-fine particles that stay suspended in the paint. They can be natural, synthetic, organic, or inorganic.
Binder – The binder is what locks the pigment in place once the paint dries. In acrylics, that’s an acrylic polymer. As water evaporates, the binder forms a strong, flexible film. Vehicle – Water is the vehicle in acrylic paint. It carries the pigment and binder as you apply it, then disappears as the paint dries, leaving behind a durable, colorful layer.
