| | | Honoring Angels 8th Grade AVID Scholars at Orange County Department of Education Ceremony | | The Orange County Department of Education hosted its annual AVID Senior Standout Recognition and Scholarship Presentation ceremony at the Irvine Barclay Theatre in April. During the event, representatives from the Angels Baseball Foundation recognized eight high school seniors who were awarded the Angels 8th Grade AVID Scholarship four years earlier. The students’ hard work and achievements were celebrated in the presence of their families, peers, and educators. Each student received a $10,000 scholarship in 8th grade, with funds placed in a trust to be awarded upon high school graduation and enrollment in a four-year college or university. Throughout high school, these scholars remained actively involved in the AVID program, maintained strong academic performance, and gave back to their communities. We look forward to supporting these high school seniors as they take the next step in their educational journeys! | | | | | | Angels Girls Baseball Clinic | On May 9, the Angels Baseball Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Angels Girls Baseball Clinic. This clinic was a free and fun opportunity for girls ages 6 to 17 of all skill levels to learn, play, and grow through the game of baseball. Each participant received an Angels hat and shirt, helping make the day even more memorable while inspiring the next generation of girls in baseball.

Each year, the Angels highlight a member of the community whose life has been impacted by breast cancer through the annual Honorary Bat Girl program. Tomoko, a dedicated member of the Angels Ticketing team, was diagnosed with breast cancer in April. She caught it early thanks to a routine screening, and her story is a powerful reminder of the importance of regular checkups and early detection. Since 2003, Major League Baseball has partnered with Susan G. Komen to go to bat against breast cancer, raising awareness and critical funds for those impacted by the disease. The Angels are proud to continue this tradition and honor individuals like Tomoko who embody strength, resilience, and hope. | | | | | | Angels Adopt-A-School, presented by OC Waste & Recycling | | This spring, the Angels Baseball Foundation visited local classrooms through the Angels Adopt‑A‑School program, presented by OC Waste & Recycling. Five local elementary schools were visited by Angels players, including Jack Kochanowicz, Ryan Zeferjahn, Sebastián Rivero, Chase Silseth, and Mitch Farris. Congratulations to our 2026 Adopt‑A‑School recipients: Gauer Elementary, Carver Elementary, Villa Park Elementary, Adams Elementary, and Fryberger Elementary. As part of their selection, each school received a schoolwide assembly hosted by the Angels, a $2,000 grant from the Angels Baseball Foundation, tickets to an Angels game, giveaway items, and sustainability‑focused programming in collaboration with OC Waste & Recycling. | | | | | | Angels Team Up with OC GRIP | | On May 19, more than 1,500 students were rewarded with a special visit to Angel Stadium after rising to the challenge to improve their school attendance, behavior, and commitment to making positive choices. The annual event, hosted in partnership with the Orange County Gang Reduction and Intervention Partnership (OC GRIP), celebrates students who stay focused and make progress toward their goals. Angels Baseball welcomed the students alongside Angels Jo Adell, Vaughn Grissom, and Mark Gubizca, who shared encouraging messages and personal paths to success. The experience included watching the Angels warm up during batting practice, enjoying dinner, and cheering on the Angels as they took on the Athletics, creating an inspiring and memorable night both on and off the field. | | | | | | Angels Baseball Fleet Week Visit | | On May 20, Angels First Base/Outfield Coach Adam Eaton and Angels players Zach Neto and Brent Suter attended Fleet Week at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, where they toured the USS Essex (LHD-2). During their visit, they had the opportunity to meet and spend time with members of the United States Armed Forces to thank them for their service and learn more about their experiences. Fleet Week brought together the community, military personnel, and local partners, with the Angels proud to be part of a day that honored those who serve our nation. | | | | | | MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Visit | | The Angels Baseball Foundation kicked off its annual visits to MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital this spring, bringing smiles and encouragement to patients and their families. Angels pitchers Brent Suter and Jack Kochanowicz spent time connecting with kids being treated by doctors and nurses while sharing stories and laughs throughout the visit. To help brighten their day, the Angels also delivered Angels hats, baseballs, and Angels Care Kits to offer comfort and support during their hospital stay. | | |
