The Story of Esther: Sunday, March 1
THE STORY OF ESTHER: A JOURNEY THROUGH PERSIAN JEWISH HISTORY |
SUNDAY, MARCH 1 | 5PM PT • 8PM ET | $18 | ONLINE
|
This Purim, we’re taking a deeper look at one of the most extraordinary stories in Jewish history—the story of Queen Esther and the Persian Jewish diaspora, the longest continuously existing Jewish community in exile. Preserved in the Megillah, Purim is a story of courage, hidden identity, and survival, and it invites us to explore Jewish life in Persia from ancient times to today—an especially urgent conversation as Iran once again takes center stage globally.
We’re honored to be joined by writer and scholar Alan Niku, who will guide this conversation with personal insight and historical depth from his home in “Irangeles,” the largest Iranian community outside Iran.
