Tell the EPA: Keep PFAS out of Our Drinking Water! Trump’s EPA is proposing to roll back limits on PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” in our drinking water. These chemicals are linked to cancers, kidney and liver damage, hormone disruption, reproductive harms, immune system disruption, birth defects, and more. This is yet another hand out to corporate polluters, giving them a free pass to poison our drinking water while they rake in profits. We all deserve access to PFAS-free water that doesn’t make us sick. Take action today to protect safe, healthy drinking water — for yourself, your family, and for all of our communities.
Comments are open until July 20th. Tell the EPA today: don’t allow PFAS poison into our drinking water!

Once again, Trump’s EPA is abandoning the agency’s mission of protecting human health and the environment. This time, they’re proposing to roll back limits on PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” in our drinking water. These chemicals are linked to cancers, kidney and liver damage, hormone disruption, reproductive harms, immune system disruption, birth defects, and more.

Every community deserves access to healthy, clean water. The current drinking water standards, which are backed by science and have been hard won by communities across the country, acknowledge the linkage between PFAS exposure and severe health impacts. Rolling back standards that safeguard our families from illnesses is the opposite of ‘making America healthy again.’ We know what this really is: yet another hand out to corporate polluters, giving them a free pass to poison our drinking water while they rake in profits.

This is a dangerous step backwards by the EPA. PFAS chemicals have already:
- Contaminated the drinking water of over 176 million people in the United States
- Been detected in the blood of more than 98% of people living in the United States
- Been connected to many harmful chronic diseases, including cancers, liver disease, reproductive harms, immune system disruption and birth defects, among others
Each and every one of us has a right to know what’s in our drinking water — and that it’s clean and safe. Rolling back these regulations will also remove requirements to regularly monitor for PFAS, leaving communities in the dark about the presence of these dangerous chemicals in their drinking water.
